Thank you for considering a role with the chapter. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at scottberry8@yahoo.com.

Message from the President

Message from the Chapter Chair
Welcome to the Reno Area Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants! I’m truly honored to
serve as your Chapter Chair for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, and I’m excited for what we can
accomplish together in the year ahead.
IMA is a global organization dedicated to supporting and advancing the management accounting
profession, but what makes it special is the local connection we build right here in our own
community. Our chapter is volunteer-led and driven by members like you—people who are
passionate about learning, connecting, and giving back.
We’re proud to offer a range of opportunities for our members, including:
 Continuing professional education (CPE) programs
 Networking events to help you build meaningful connections
 Leadership development opportunities
 Mentorship for both students and professionals
 Community service initiatives throughout the Reno area
This year, we’re especially focused on creating more ways for members to connect, learn, and get
involved—whether that’s through engaging events, stronger relationships between students and
professionals, or opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.
No matter where you are in your journey—whether you’re a student exploring your future, a
seasoned professional, or someone looking to expand your network—you have a place here. We’d
love you to join us at an event, reach out, or find a way to get involved.
Thank you for being part of our chapter. I’m looking forward to a great year ahead and hope to see
you soon!
Mindy Caporin, CMA
